Fish Finders

Looking for some opinions on fish finders. I guess if I had to draw a line in the sand as far as price...... $600.00 (including transducer)
Thanks in advance for all opinions given.

do a bunch of research to find a fishfinder that will best suit the type of fishing you do. I mostly fish fresh water and when I do get in the salt I stay along the coast of Long Island Sound so I just put a Humminbird 170 on my kayak. I like it a lot and it was $99. -Duncan

Hey Brian,

I do realize I'm a year late into this but I'm curious - did you find one? Which did you end up getting?

Brian,

$600 gives you a lot to work with. I prefer hummingbird, but there are a lot of models to choose from a that price. A gps/fish finder combo is the way to go. When you are looking at models make sure to get one with a sd card slot. This way you can transfer waypoints from units if need be, as well as upload a quality marine chart like Navionics. GL

hi make sure that you put never seize on the transducer bolt, I found out the hard way 200.00 later I tried to fix the one I had it was new, Hummingbird would not cover it

Hi, I see you have a good budget for a fish finder. If you don't buy yet then reply me here. I will give you a few recommendations within your budget.
