Quantum Cabo PT spinning reels?

Hi everyone:hello , I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.

I live and fish on the East Coast (Rhode Island to be exact), and hope you don't mind an easterner coming on board.

I envy the fish and fishing you folks have out there. The salt water fishing here in New England is good, but inshore, from a kayak we're pretty much limited to striped bass, bluefish, tautog, fluke (like a baby Halibut) and small panfish called scup (porgy).

One of the reasons for this post is that I'm considering buying one or more Quantum Cabo PT spinning reels and I'm trying to find out if they'll be a worthwhile investment or not. Anybody have experience with them? Thanks in advance.

Brad,
Welcome. You guys have some great fishing in your area too! We have stripers
out here, but mostly in freshwater. I love catching them. Those Quantum reels are ok. You might want to check out the Okuma Epixor. 10 ball bearings and a smooth drag. They run around $50 at Cabela's. It is a sweet reel! We love to see pictures of fishing from all over here. Surf, kayak, boat, float tube. It dosen't matter.

Thanks for the welcome guys. The fishing season is just about over here with virtually all the game fish heading down the coast to warmer waters for the winter :( .

Will try to post some pictures in the spring when the bite picks up again.:banana
