First Ocean fish from kayak.... fail....
 

hey everyone new member here and i wanted to share my video of the first ocean fish i had caught ... please help me find better ways to land kings ... any help would be great!!! :willy_nilly:

Sorry about your loss. It would seem that the fish was still green , and a large net or gaff would have been a better bet. Handing off the rod was not a good idea either,better to play it longer and wait. The shorter the line,the easier it breaks;no stretch left to help.

Thanks for the advise ... i have purchased a Gaff since then and am excited for the spring run to fill the freezer!
