Shelter Island?
 
Fishing the SD Bay for the first time this weekend. Thinking of launching at Shelter Island. Any tips? Ive fished Mission Bay lots. i like dropshottings and swim baits, but Im open to any good ideas. Thanks

Both work good in the Bay riding the tide for the swimbaits you will want to cast out let it sink to bottom let out much more line then slow retrieve to keep the bait near the bottom and don't forget your Uni Butter

Cool, thanks. Is that "Long Lining" Ive read about casting your bait and then drifting away from it for a good distance before starting the retrieve? Ill be sure to get some Uni Butter too. Thanks

Yes we call it long lining and good luck watch the tides as the amount of water moving in and out of the back bay can really be strong.
