:banana the flash decided to work so here are the pics. sorry about the quality, the yak was on its side. ill post better pics tomorrow and of my trip on sunday. hopefully ill see some other yakkers down there. one question, should i launch from babies beach, or the boat ramp? i want to be as close as possible to the bait barge.

Hobb

If you're talkin bout Dana, the ramp is about 600' from the barge. I've been thinkin about using the ramp to avoid the long windy paddle back to BB! It'd be worth $10 to start bait fishing quickly! Also you could get in and tie up at the dock for rest room stops, etc.! seems like all the recent big halis have been inside! We may go on Saturday. You can see our post on the Mafia board! Perry, hope this Xref is ok! If not, feel free to delete it! Jerry/Piranha

i just found out that me and my brother might go out on saturday if my dads catamaran insurance ticket doesn't arrive tomorrow on friday. what time will you be launching?

Nothing firm yet, but if we go we usually arrive at Baby Beach around 6 am. I gotta talk to Oscar tomorrow! Donno bout the full moon! But there's a big tide swing on Saturday! Also this is the bass spawn moon! Never launched a yak from the ramp. Baby's has hall with a big AA /Narcanon meeting at 7am and you need to get there before those people arrive in their beemers and lexus carrying Starbuck's cups, pushing in like a yuppie army, and fill up the parking lot! :coffee

lol, so what, arrive at like 6:45? also, is there a starbucks close to there? my dad will drive me and my bro, and he is doing research on what he can do to pass the time. hes probably gonna end up going to sleep in the truck like a hobo. lol. I was told that there is a year round yellowtail bite outside the harbor at the kelp beds, is that true?

Jason,
Congrats on the kayaks and Thanks for the photos :thumbup It sounds like you've found a good group to fish with out of DP. I've enjoyed the conversations while trying to help answer some of the questions you had about kayaks and such. Helping anglers is why I have these forums and we try to keep them steered as such and keep any type of spam to a minimum. Please remember we also look for cool anglers to fish with here also, and you are always welcomed to post up your trips and results here. In closing, don't be a stranger and hope to meet you on he water soon,
Perry

Nice yak!:thumbup You'll get plenty of opportunities to put that baby in the water. DP was where I made my first trip. Good fishing holes.
Happy Yakin'!!!
