Long Beeach 7-22
Got a chance to fish with a friend of mine in his bay runner today targeting some halibut. We started off the morning getting a nice bass off one of the islands on a 5 inch pink mogambo. After that we worked the buoy line off cherry beach for some short halibuts. I got 2 "Just a hair Shorts" and and watched a float tuber working inside the buoy line score a nice legal and another tuber do a swing and a miss with his gaff and lose his legal halibut at his feet. We went over by Belmont Pier where my friend got a few baits raked, then we decided to call it a day and was off the water at 11am.

Way to go Perry! Glad you got out today! You deserve it! Sorry you had work yesterday. You missed a soso windy at Dana yesterday. On/off wind! I got a whopper sculpin, desperate housewife croaker, and various adolescent cudas, plus pelicans, seals and raked baits. No flatties but missed a few I'm sure! Let's go next weeek! Piranha/Jerry

Nice Perry, glad you guys got a few!
Did you try those weedless jig heads and pitch into the rocks? Any love on the cranks or spinnerbaits?? Ed
