Yakking in Missouri

Hi All
Moved to st louis few years ago from sydney, australia and have been Kayak fishing for large and small mouth used to fish for our native bass back home. Based out of St louis learning how to catch a whole new species is always fun looking for a fishing partner anytime!!

I've been in Kansas City 20 years, fishing for 40. Fly fishing for a year. Looking to get into kayak fishing. There seems to be quite a lot of activity on the coasts but not so much in the midwest. I hope I'm wrong about that.

Where does a guy go to get started? A used kayak rigged for fishing in streams and lakes of the midwest? Also looking for guidance.
