Smile WSM Style BB Ribs

With a B'day in the family, a BBQ was in order with Baby Back ribs being the main course. All three racks of ribs were cleaned, trimmed and prepped with bbq rub. I did my rack a bit different from what I have heard recently. I rinsed mine in white vinegar, then slathered yellow mustard on them, then applied a liberal amount of Stubbs BBQ rub which is available in grocery stores, bbq shops and online. For a purchased BBQ rub, I think it's pretty tasty.

You can see the racks on the bullet before really getting started:

The Smokey Mountain BBQ by Weber is also called a WSM for short, and it is a water smoker in that it has a water pan inside you can fill with water or other liquids. It helps coat the meat and retain a bit more moisture in your foods, and it helps regulate the heat a bit.

Here is the business end of the WSM:

It took about 3 hours to BBQ the ribs, and they came out pretty darn good if I may say so myself. About the last 30mins we brushed some BBQ sauce on them t help finish them off. Usually we get ribs out at a BBQ joint, but we may just cook a few more at home
