Default Happy New Year 1/2/11

So for Christmas I got new Kayak car racks and wanted to test them out. My wife purchased my fishing license on line for my birthday seeing how it’s on the 11th of January, so I got an early B-day gift as well. So I go to Tidelands Park in Coronado. Launched at about 7 A.M. and paddled toward the channel.
The water temp wasn’t too cold, and there wasn’t much wind at all, and best of all no one else near us for about 2 hours. My buddy and I just got around the curve and we started casting out. He hooks up on the first cast and I farmed one on the first cast. I farmed another on my 3rd cast. Then I got bumped here and there but nothing was hanging on.
At about 8:30 I hit a spot and get nailed by a nice Sand Bass (no photo taken of this fish). Then at 9 A.M. I swear someone rang the breakfast bell because it was one bite after the other. I landed about 12 Spotted Bay Bass in an hour. Why couldn’t that have happened back at the OEX tourney? It was a blast out there.
It was a great way to kick off the year and it was a lot of fun. I can’t wait until the 11th, I’m taking the day off to hit the water again.

Photobucket is having issues right now, I'll post the photos once it's working well.
