Default Huntington Harbor 7-13-07

Its been over a month, but decided to go back to my old spot, Huntington Harbor.
Launched out of Trinidad Island @ 830 am into an incoming tide and clear skies.
Wind was minimal.
On the way out saw another Hobie Revo owner in the same Papaya Yellow, said he had "caught only a few".
Put'z around some of the docks for nada.
After an hour or so decided to make my way to Simple Green before the tide changed.

Caught a 13" Barred Sand Bass on a Big Hammer Blue Fever on the drop.
Decided to bust out and try the new Berkeley Lip gripper from Wal-Mart.
Worked pretty cool

Moved on to the bridge where I setup more normal drift, with the incoming tide.
A few bites but only one taker, a 15" halibut.

That was around 1130.
After that the bite shut down, the tide changed.
Off the water @ 130
