Default 72nd Street Jetty Long Beach

I was looking to fish the 72nd street jetty; my question is where you launch from. I looked in the Thomas Brothers map and I see Alamitos park. Are you able to launch from there, any info would be appreciated or if someone is looking to hit this spot this weekend I would like to tag along if I may.

I launch right at the end of the parking lot. I go down Ocean until it dumps you into the parking lot that is closest to the jetty with the lifeguard building on the end. There are a few spaces on your left that you park parrallel to the sidewalk that I like to use. The meters run $.25 per 15 minutes so take some quarters wit ya. It's a short pull across the sand to the water....but you need a good cart with high flotation wheels to make the pull easy as the sand is really soft and narrow wheels can bury themselves. I use my roleez when I go and it works like a charm. I work this weekend, but when I'm in town and I'm free I'll get in touch and see if you still want to go locally.

He gets off at 6:00 in the morning so he should be there at 6:30.I would like to get live bait at Big Fish (store).I think they open at 5:00.I dont know when the gates for the beach opens If anyone knows please chime in. So to make a long story short between 5:00 and 6:30 on the beach and fishing till about 2:00.If you want we can go and try to make bait locally. Whats your time slot
