TG,
Yes, I drive to the end and park and launch on the right most of the time. You can also launch on the left side also. The right side has a few foot drop you have to carry or slide your kayak down which can be muddy and slick, and the left side has concrete paths you pull your kayak on but also has a few foot drop to get to the sand to launch. Hope this helps,
Perry

Perry:

Anywhere to launch without steps or drop-off? I win't take my loaded Hobie down either - way too heavy.

Launched form the boat ramp. Made my way in a stiff breeze. Paddled around to check out the launch from Countess. Ran across Chuck, who filled me in on some good spots to try. Worked the docks toward Simple Green. Fished the bridge, the edges of the wetlands and back around. beached as the sun was going down.

Caught one spotty, lost a couple and plenty of bites.

Thanks for the tips, Chuck!

Good times...

Perry and I waited and looked for wind - decided to go to NPB. Fished Coast Guard and out in anchor area. I think 3 spotties total. Wind layed down flat.

Off water after 9pm.

Launched late from the boat ramp
Drove around looking for everybody
Bee-lined it to the bridge, mighta past tarpon guy on the way
Caught a couple of spotties, nothing too exciting
Played with the new stern and nav lights as well as a newly installed fish finder that is finally reliable

Sorry I couldn't make it out. Had a busy schedule all day. I'll have to make it out soon or I may be disbarred. See you on the water!

mg2969,

I saw this Hobie in the middle of the channel movin' like it had a motor on it. I told Chuck, man, those things can really move! At that point, I had to leave and headed back to the ramp.

Look forward to running across some more of you guys next time.

That would probablly be me (yellowish/orange hobie ?)
I stayed out till @930 since the park closed at 1000. Had the new stern and nav lights figured I practice a little in the dark. Gotta get ready for lobster season
