Default Lj 9/17

Fished LJ this morning with my wife Jackie, Robert & Drew. Waves were small so it made for a nice launch. Robert & Drew headed to the pier to make bait Jackie and I went straight out and started trolling around. Got tired of paddling around so we started throwing the krocks. Jackie hooked up first and got a nice 5-6 lb bonita. I caught a couple of little ones. While sitting there tossing the krock I put on swim bait and dropped it down. A little while later I’m casting and in mid flight my other pole with the swim bait just gets slammed the reels goes ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ and as soon as my krock that I’d just cast hits the water I get bit by a small bonita. Get the bonita in and grab the other rod. And after a fun battle I landed this.

After the YTL was landed and dropped the same swim bait down and started throwing the krock again. Jackie got a nice calico. Released him after the pic.

A little while later the rod with the swim bait goes off. I knew it wasn’t a yellow and pulled up the guy.

Release him after the picture. After that neither one of us caught anything else. Called it a day and landed on the beach at noon.

Perry,
Not even! You could have rolled your car up on the beach at 12:00 Noon without even waiting today. I am going out next Saturday if you are interested.

Hi Hank,

Sorry for the late reply. Conditions were really nice, water was 69-70, no swell and glassy conditions.
