Default United Anglers of Southern California’s 5th Annual Garage Sale

United Anglers of Southern California’s 5th Annual Garage Sale Fundraiser is shaping up to be bigger and better than ever, with a new location and thousands of great deals to be had on new and used reels, rods, tackle boxes, accessories —everything for the fresh and saltwater angler. In addition to all the great stuff for the fishermen in the family, visitors can hook up with bargains on tents, coolers, sleeping bags, lanterns, camp stoves and more for enjoying time in the great outdoors.

This year’s event —which takes place on Sunday, December 3rd —will be held at Turner’s Outdoorsman’s new warehouse facility in Ontario. This new location will provide plenty of room for products and visitors, making it easy for bargain hunters to get around and find what they’re looking for.

“We’re very grateful to Don Small and Mark Lemons of Turner’s for stepping up and helping us in such a big way,” said Raftican. “Turner’s has always provided so much great product for our annual fundraiser, and now they’re letting us use their new home as the headquarters for our sale,” he added.

Last year’s event at Shimano American Corporation headquarters in Irvine was a big success, raising thousands of dollars to support UASC’s important, year-around efforts on behalf of recreational fishing. UASC volunteers and staffers have been at work for months gathering new and used products donated for the event by manufacturers, retailers and private citizens. These donated items will be offered to the public at bargain prices, with net proceeds from the sale going to help fund various UASC initiatives —the most notable of which is to influence future Marine Life Protection Act (MLPA) implementation in Southern California to minimize impact on recreational fishing. “This will be our focus in the coming year, and we can really use the support of every angler and every industry stakeholder,” said Raftican. “Our annual Garage Sale event is a big part of preparing for the coming year.”
