I agree with Jon. Once I got used to baitcasting reels I hardly ever use a spinning reel anymore except when I fish 6lb line in the bay and in the surf.
That rig looks like a good setup for the 3 b's. (bass, bonito, and barracuda)
Casting reels have way better drag systems and control than spinning outfits.
For real. It's not even close. Once you get that spool tension knob adjusted like Jon was saying it will be much easier to use. Some baitcasters have centrifigal
brakes that can be adjusted as well. My first baitcaster was an Abu 5500C3.
I still use it at La Jolla when the bonito come in.
