Default Question's

About cobia fishing. I've been looking into a cobia setup. I need some suggestions, about what size reel to get. I already have a Penn Sargus 5000 but i don't think that could handle a cobia off the pier i'll be fishing at. I looked at the Penn Conquer but i don't know if i should get the 5000 size or the 7000 size. Also, what pound braid should i use i thought about putting like 20 or 30 so i could get a lot of line on the reel. I've talked to some guys and they say they use heavy braid, because they can't handle the light braid. One more question is how tall of a rod do you think i should get? M buddy has a bass pro shops offshore extreme cobia rod. I like it because it is 9 foot. I have an 8 foot rod, but i don't think it could throw 2 and 3 ounce cobe jigs off the pier.
