Default 1st time SD bay

Well, the weatherman was off. When we launched at Kellogg St at 5:30AM, the wind was from the south at 15-20 knots.
While there was no surf, by the time we paddled 300 yards to the shoal markers, we were already beat and completely soaked from spray and chop. Somehow we still managed to catch about 10 nice bass, spotties and sandies, in 3 hours of fishing. One plug fish, the rest on various plastics.
We finally had enough abuse and landed about 9:15AM.

A&J,
Congrats on the bass, that's pretty good for just a few hours with snotty conditions. Thats one of the few things about SD that makes it tough is the wind comes up, and you have to be aware of the tides. Awesome fishery though I love fishing the bay...except for "Knothead" the seal.

Take Care,
PerryC.
