Hello,
I just purchased a Hobie Odessey 14ft kayak. I live in Okinawa Japan. I am going to take some time to get a feel for my kayak before I start fishing and diving off of it. My question is what GPS system is reccomended with kayaking. I have had the suggestion of Garmin etrex venture HC GPS. Thank you for your input.

Awesome site. very helpful. I read the thread about taking the boat out and making sure I was comfortable on it and getting a feel for the tracking before i bought it. I saw two that I didn't feel comfortable on before I bought it.
