Default Pt. Fermin Barries

We took out a friends boat for a quick run to the Pt. Fermin area. Due to some personal mishaps and a late start we arrived to the fishing grounds around 9:00 in the morning. Sorry Joe! Needless to say, we were greeted by a small fishing armada who'd have their lines in the water for a few hours ahead of us. Armed with some fresh, perfect-sized chovie's for bait we remained optimistic. We parked outside the armada and metered no fish but we dropped our lines in anyway and got the expected result. We finally maneuvered ourselves in position to get a crack at the run of Barries in the area. The fish were finicky but log-sized if you were lucky enough to get them to bite. I landed a couple of beauties on a 6lbs. set-up and an anchovie-pattern plastic swim bait. I had a third fish spit out my lure at the last second and a fourth saw my line off clean (that shouldn't have been hard to do). Anyway here are a couple of pics we took back home.
Note: The measuring stick stops at 36".

Thanks Robert. They definetly put up a nice fight, even with a seal hot on their heels.
