Default Perris 4/21/07

Hey all,

Just thought to drop a line about lake Perris. I hit the lake about 830am today. I took out the new yak and wanted to try her without outriggers (very nice) . Anyway, the fishing today was really good. I started off in sail cove and made my way down the dam. All fish were caught in 10-15ft of water. I caught about 10 bass from 6" to 18" most came on med. nightcrawlers . On the way back in I managed to catch my first crappie. It was hand size but fun. Of the 10 bass 7 were on nightcrawlers and the rest were on plastic. If you would like info about Perris just Pm me. I live 5min from there so I hit it up 2 times a week.

Tight lines and paddle well,

Jon

ps. I got off the lake about 4pm due to wind. All fish C&R'd

Jon,
Thanks for the report! It looks like you're pretty happy with your Pungo 120!
Do you ever fish any of the bays? I used to have a Old Town Loon 138
that I fished San Diego Bay with. Sit insides can be pretty cool.

Jon,
Thanks for the report and congrats on the bass. My friend kayaks out there also as he lives in Riverside, and I was planning on taking my tube out there, but the bladder has a leak so I haven't made the trip recently. I like bass fishing there though. Have you ever bass fished Castaic Lagoon or the San Diego lakes? I'd like to try both of those this year as weekend trips with a float tube or kayak.

Thanks for the thumbs up guys, I haven't had the chance to get out to the bays (NPH & MISSION) yet. I'd really love to get into the spotted bay bass or a halibut. As far as the Pungo "just AWSOME" I really love the boat. If anyone would like to hook up and fish PM me an we can figure something out.

Jon
