Robert has a spectacular aura about
Default Mission Bay 3-24

Perry and I fished Mission Bay today. We launched a little after 7:00 A.M. from Dana Landing. The conditions were beautiful. Slightly overcast with little to no wind. There was a bunch of numskulls practicing for some rowing competition. We had to dodge them for a while. We picked up a couple of fish and headed over to fish the area near the sailing center.

I looked down in the water and there were hundreds of jellyfish under my kayak.
They were pretty cool looking.

We headed back to another spot and started catching fish again.

The fishing was good!

The wind never picked up until just before we left. Surprisingly there was very little boat and jet ski traffic today and that always makes for a good day of fishing in the kayak. Perry it was great fishing with today!

Robert,
As always, good fishing with you and Thanks for the invite. It was without a doubt one of the best fishing ventures I've had in a long time. I'm glad we decided to go fishing instead of going to the Fred Hall Show and talking about fishing, that gets boring. I had a good time catching a few bass . Using the Hot Sauce on the plastics worked out well as usual, and the Cobra Marauder I paddled worked out very, very well. I could really tell the 4 inches they added to the length of the cockpit. Everything came together for an epic day on the water.

Here is a shot of Robert hooked-up which he repeated many times:

After fishing here and there, we ended up at Ski Beach for a pit stop. After we pulled our kayaks up on shore, we saw these and asked "Who brought the slurp gun?" Too bad Defjack wasn't there with us, he may have been able to pump a few shrimp for bait.

Let's wet a line again soon

Perry

Bob,
It was an EPIC day on the water. The only thing that would have been better is if you and your wing-person could have joined us. It was that good . Talk to you soon,
Perry

Sounds like a great day on the water. The photos look like you had great conditions.

I gotta get back out and do some spottie fishing.

We were there also. We prefished a little different area. Had an incredible day too. Unfortunately can't get into too many details, but it was good . I'll fill in the details in a few weeks. I'm sorry I missed you guys. I was going to head over to the Sailing Center but never made it out of the area I was. I may be down on the 7th for one last prefish before the tournament, but not too sure. I'll be up in Big Bear this weekend for my first trout trip of the year.

Thumbs up Re: Mission Bay 3-24

Swamp,
Glad to hear you had a good day also. Not to worry about lack of details, you'll always be a good egg in my book . With all the local tourneys going on, the teams involved, plus the cash involved, the face of the sport is changing as it was from a few years ago, and it's totally understandable. Good Luck in Big Bear and at the Tourney on the 14th, I'll see 'ya there. I'll be in the Grey Marauder...
