Default Longline fishing from a kayak

Hello and a happy new year to all,

Im considering trying longlining from my kayak purley for recreational purposes and not commercial, 4 kids and a wife to feed, need to stock up the freezer!
Based in the UK, not much interest in it over here so I am looking to you guys on the other side of the pond for advice.

Regards

Dawsie

Wink Re: Longline fishing from a kayak

Dawsie, You bloody maniac! Longline from a kayak, huh? My advice: First get yourself a giant 1000 lb. reel and 5 miles of line, duct tape it to the back of your kayak, catch anything that swims, if you can eat it-keep it, if not throw it overboard dead. Does that sound about right? Stick to wimpy burgers and warm beer, you wanker...
