Smile Newport Report

After a few coin flips, I decided to blow the dust off the float tube and use it for another night time bass fishing foray. I grabbed a few boxes of plastics I had taking up room amongst my fishing gear, and decided to finally give them a try. I was undecided where to launch, so I chose 15th street as a wildcard.

With all the bass tourneys starting up soon, I decided now would be a good time to get things rolling for them with more on the water bass fishing time and night would gimme a better chance to try some new stuff and worry less about boat traffic.

The fishing was alot better than I was expecting. Most were cookie cutter in size like the one in the photo, but there was a few larger units mixed in that came as a nice bonus. Also a couple short halibuts decided to play tag.

Incredible,
We probably missed each other by an hour from the sound of it. I'm going to fish this weekend either day, but next weekend is my wifes and we always go away for that weekend. So, if you wanna make plans gimme a call early in the week and we'll go catch some bass or ?? TC&TL,
Perry
