Default Dana Point on Saturday

We started the day with a few passes off of Doheny, then we fished mostly the harbor mouth. The south swell kicked up some nice surf, so we played it safe.
We did manage about 10 bass, most of them legal, with one very nice sandie for Julie, and one very nice spottie for Aaron. We also caught a bunch of short halibut, a short barrie, a short WSB, a smoothhound and many very large leopards. Sounds like a lot, but spread out over 15 hours on the water, 5:00AM-8:00PM, it's not as impressive. We had fun all the same. Now if we can only get rid of the creaks in our necks...

A&J,
As always, Thanks for 'da report. You are hardcore to be at it for a good 15hrs, no doubt about that. Sorry to hear the fishing was off for you. If you would please, How was the water quality? Was there any red tide showing? Inquiry minds want to know,LOL. TC&TL,
Perry

Perry, we did see patchy stuff that looked like red tide, so it looks like it's on the way.
Jclays, nope it wasn't us that rolled. We got to keep all our gear this trip.
