This is a handsome young checkerboard that I snagged off of Lighthouse Point in Palo Verdes this weekend (2/15/4) while out sea
kayaking with Kayak Sportfishing Adventures. We paddled a little over 10 miles that day before coming across a large cluster of
lobster buoys. While there Yak Slam and I spent the last hour of light watching a hang-glider and hanging a half dozen calicos & sand
bass on light tackle using 4" black, blue, silver bellied F/T swimbaits, before making a surf landing in front of the Abalone Cove lifeguard tower.
