Corey's Kayak Fishing Yellowtail

Corey caught this Yellowtail or 'Tail for short using a classic inshore setup consisting of a Seeker 708 Inshore rod and Shimano Calcutta 400 reel using 15lb line. A trolled sardine did the trick for him at the ever popular fishing grounds, LaJolla Shores which is located in San Diego, California.
Note: When the Yellows are in Lajolla, the action can be hot and heavy. The kayakers in the know try to head out during mid-week. Not only is launching easier, but there are not so many recreational boaters and party boats to contend with.
