My Halibut |

Nice 33 inch, 14 pound Halibut caught near the Cabrillo Beach breakwall. I caught it on 8lb line and a Cotee Pearl/Green swim bait,
in about 20' of water. Fishing near a breakwall can be very productive. Live bait generally works very well, but Halibut are ambush
feeders. It have on several occasions been using a grub or swim bait, and have had a small Halibut follow it up to the kayak before he see's
what's going on.
