I'll sometimes just clip a bright yellow or orange flag with a small snap to one on my extra rods in my rod holders. This puts your flag about 8ft high and makes it very visable without adding any extra poles and stuff on your yak. Also mylar party streamers bunched together on a snap reflects lots of light and gets attention.

Not a bad idea guys. I can't tell you how many times I have had idiots in sailboats and powerboats head straight for me like they didn't even see me, and
my Tarpon 140 is mango colored. It sticks out like a sore thumb! I guess anything you can do to make yourself more visible is a good thing. Robert |
